The School of Education at the University of Carabobo was created as the December 20, 1962 by resolution of the National Council of Universities in session in the city of Merida. Since then, under the leadership of Dr. Humberto Giugni, began operations attached to the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, and Dr. Dean Irigoyen Rafael Crespo.
The proposed creation of the School of Education was the result of requests made to the university students, graduates, academics and various sectors of the community of Carabobo. The structure and organization of the school after the year 1962, before it was actually enacted, was given by Dr. Juan González and Correa had at that time as Director Dr. Francisco J. Ávila.
After completion of the regulatory steps, the School of Education opened its doors with the initiation of a selective way, the propaedeutic, which took effect from October to December 1963. In January 1964 this school finally began the activities with the following student population: 250 graduates, 256 more than normal, with three years of service, 15 teachers from the Pedagogical Institutes, 35 University Professors and University Professionals 9.
